Bogi (Boglarka) Pataki-Barothi was introduced to yoga in 2005 when she was pregnant with her first child. In 2010 she knew that yoga had to be part of her life and started taking beginning classes from Heidi Jacobsen for 3 years. In 2013 she was invited to take a class with Nubia Texeira and since then she followed her to every studio taking her classes and workshops. In 2018 she did a 200 hour teacher training at Bhakti Nova School of Yoga,
a 32 hour Chair Yoga teacher training at Sunlight yoga and a 20 hour Anatomy of Aging course at Yoga Vista Academy. In 2021 she added another 300 hour training with Bhakti Nova School of Yoga. Bogi's teaching focuses on the yoga practice she enjoys the most, a slow paced beginning level Hatha Yoga, with basic meditation and pranayama (breath work), rooted in Bhakti, devotion practice. Her classes will help students to start with very simple and easy poses at a slow pace, then implement the breathing while focusing on alignment. Some mantras and hand mudras that are universal and speak to all of us will also be taught, leaving plenty of space for relaxation and meditation. Similarly, she applies all these principals in her chair yoga sessions, mostly for seniors or individuals with limited mobility. She also offers semi private and private classes for new students who would like to be introduced to yoga, learn or just practice essential poses, build the foundations, while gaining confidence and strength.
