"Yoga helps me to come back to and be in the present moment."

I was introduced to yoga in 2005 when I was pregnant with my first child. In 2010 I knew that yoga had to be part of my life and I started taking beginning yoga classes from Heidi Jacobsen for 3 years. In 2013 I was invited to take a class with Nubia Teixeira and since then I followed her to every studio taking her classes and workshops. In 2018 I completed a 200 hour teacher training at Bhakti Nova School of Yoga and a 32 hour Chair Yoga teacher training at Sunlight yoga followed by a 20 hour Anatomy of Aging course at Yoga Vista Academy. In 2021 I finished a second training of 300 hour at Bhakti Nova School of Yoga.

I love to focus my teachings on the yoga practice that I enjoys the most, a slow paced beginning level Hatha Yoga, with basic meditation and pranayama (breath work), rooted in Bhakti (devotion practice). My classes are designed to be simple, slow paced, occasionally I use hand mudras that are universal and speak to all of us and I leave plenty space for relaxation and meditation. I mostly teach chair yoga, for older adults and individuals with limited mobility, and happy to offers semi private and private classes (chair yoga or yoga on the mat) for new students who would like to be introduced to yoga, learn or just practice essential poses, build the foundations, confidence and strength. I believe we are all here to reconnect with our inner wisdom and yoga is a wonderful path to lead us home.
